Hydraulic Torque Wrenches

A hydraulic torque wrench consists of a hydraulic cylinder, drive plates and a ratchet. All tools are driven by the same hydraulic pump which can be pneumatically or electrically powered. The pump is regulated and produces hydraulic oil pressure of up to ten thousand ponds per square inch. The pump drives the hydraulic torque wrench via high pressure hoses and the pressure output from the pump, converts to torque at the tool.

Hydraulic torque wrenches come in two basic types, square drive, and low clearance. The square drive tools are used with impact sockets and the low clearance tools have interchangeable hex cassettes enabling them to access low clearance applications.
