Power Tool Calibration

We offer full power tool calibration services for all your industrial power tools, to ensure they are always working at their optimum.

In the case of many power tools, it is important that they are regularly and correctly calibrated. many say that an incorrectly calibrated power tool is worse than none at all, and this can be true. We offer our clients a full power tool calibration service using the very latest testing equipment and fully trained technicians.

Not all power tools require calibration however, those that do, must be calibrated regularly to ensure that their power output is correct. If the power output is too low, the tool will not function correctly and if it is too high, it may damage the piece of equipment or machinery it is being used on.

The calibration process is not as simple as it may first appear. Correctly trained technicians and the right environment for the calibration process are critical. All our calibration technicians are fully manufacturer trained in power tool calibration. Our calibration laboratory is temperature and humidity controlled to ensure accurate readings at all times.

Asset Management Avoids Calibration Headaches

Our AIM (Asset Integration Management) System ensures that our clients will be warned when their power tools are getting close to being out of calibration, leaving them to focus on their core business. Keeping track of a sizeable power tool inventory can be a full-time job in itself. Rather than expending the costs related to an additional employee, our clients utilise our far more cost-effective AIM system and related support services.

Our ST Tool Test Bench has an impressive joint simulation system, simulating torque and angle stability, with both fixed and inline transducers with wireless connectivity. This gives the most realistic test conditions and also provides full traceability.

Power Tool Calibration Certification

Supporting documentation is a critical part of power tool calibration however, paper certificates can become damaged or lost. Every calibrated tool is returned with a supporting calibration certificate which is also stored as an electronic version in our AIM System, and the recalibration date is reset.

Why You Need Power Tool Calibration

Certain power tools rely upon accuracy to ensure they function correctly. Calibration is the process used to compare the actual output of a tool in relation to the expected output. The expected output is specified by the original equipment manufacturer as is the calibration frequency. The industry standard for power tool calibration is generally once every twelve months, although this is not always the case and manufacturers recommendations should be referred to.

The accuracy of calibrated tools and equipment is actually a requirement specified by the ISO9001:2015 standard, so your entire organisation cannot be certified without systems and procedures in place to ensure your complete tool inventory is calibrated.

A correctly calibrated power tool will:

  • Improve production speed and quality
  • Reduce rejects during production
  • Improve tool performance and lifespan
  • Comply with regulations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction

We simplify the entire calibration process for you, from collection and delivery of the tooling, to making sure your tools are calibrated before their previous certification lapses, we do it all for you. We remove many of the headaches related to managing an extensive power tool inventory for a fraction of the cost of employing your own tool manager.
